Fort Foster Days
February 8 @ 8:00 am - February 9 @ 5:00 pm
Event by Hillsborough River State Park Preservation Society at the Fort Foster State Historic Site – Duration: 2 days
Open to the public
Step back to the 1830s and visit a soldier-led fort! After you explore the fort and locals, cross the river and see the Seminole Indian territory.
Look for wares and goods, and watch craft demonstrations and skirmishes as they happen. Come and step back into living history!
This is a Seminole Wars event. For EFR participants, there are no breaches; long pants and a rifleman’s frock are appropriate. Your firelocks are OK, no tricorns; keep vests short, and straw hats are appropriate. Cartridges are provided for both Saturday and Sunday skirmishes. You can camp if you are set up either Friday after 4 p.m. or Saturday by 9 a.m. This is a fun event.
