Colonial Night Watch

The event, “St Augustine Colonial Night Watch”, is held the first weekend in December. Night Watch activities are scheduled in various locations in the City of St. Augustine. Activities start at 10 am and continue at both the Colonial Quarter museum and the Castillo de Marcos. Period camp sites are open to visitors in the Colonial Quarter, Arrivas Yard and in the Riberia Yard (Dutch Colony) on St. George Street. Typically the National Park Service hosts “The Enemy at the Gates” program will on Friday at 6:00 pm. Saturday events will center on the Castillo de San Marcos and continue through the completion of the torchlight parade that evening.  Festivities end up at the Governor’s House on St. George’s Street around 7 pm with the “Volley of Joy.”
