Living History Saunter (Weather Permitting)
September 14, 2019 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Living history interpreters present a timeline of St. Augustine’s colonial history in the town’s historic district from the City Gates down St. George Street to Aviles Street, the oldest street in the United States. Participants present themselves to the general public in the garb and gear of the city’s military and civilian colonial environs from 1513 to 1784 and answer questions related to St. Augustine’s rich history, pose for pictures with tourists and visitors, and provide information about the Historic Florida Militia, which presents the program in conjunction with the City of St. Augustine. Saunters are generally presented once a month from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
