Thursday 5PM  Colonial Quarter opens for camp setup.

Friday 2PM Arrivas yard opens for camp setup

Friday Evening:  Enemy At The Gates at the Castillo.

This has been brought over from the old ‘Spanish Nightwatch’, now with an expanded British presence (Huzzah!).  It is a nighttime, first person tour put on for visitors who pay a separate fee for this (always a sell out).  Every 10 minutes small groups of visitors are ushered to the next scene.   The first tour is at 615PM and is for friends and family only.

The scene is Oglethorpe’s attack on St. Augustine in 1740.   We will have various stations which the public will go through in small groups led by a lantern equipped volunteer.  All the stations inside the Castillo will be Spanish, and those outside the Castillo will be British.  Currently for the outside we are planning on East Florida Rangers (third person interpretation and more), and Oglethorpe consulting with his other commanders.   If you are a re-enactor who has never done Spanish and would like to give it a whirl for the night, we can equip you for the last scene which depicts Spanish troops marching out for the surprise attack on Fort Mose.
