SUMMARY:Timeline Saunter
DESCRIPTION:    \nHistoric Florida Militia\, Inc. is pleased to announce the ‘Saunter’ program in association with the St Johns County Cultural Council. \nLiving history interpreters present a timeline of St. Augustine’s colonial history in the town’s historic district from the City Gates down St. George Street to Aviles Street\, the oldest street in the United States. Participants present themselves to the general public in the garb and gear of the city’s military and civilian colonial environs from 1513 to 1784 and answer questions related to St. Augustine’s rich history\, pose for pictures with tourists and visitors\, and provide information about the Historic Florida Militia\, which presents the program in conjunction with the City of St. Augustine.

SUMMARY:Saunter Makeup Event
DESCRIPTION:Our saunter originally scheduled for earlier this month was cancelled due to the unpredictable weather forecasts. We have rescheduled for Saturday August 28. We will meet at the Spanish bakery at 5:30pm. As we have been doing all along\, we will saunter along Saint George Street from 6:00pm until 8:30pm. This is a timeline saunter. Wear the time period you enjoy the most\, just keep in mind your garb must be historical to Saint Augustine. See you there.
