The cannon barrel is made of 8810 tube bronze. It was cast by Gilmore Ordinance in Old Fort, Ohio. Flying Canoe Traders came to Alafia River Rendezvous where it was sold to the East Florida Rangers
Oak 8/4th lumber purchased for carriage
Cannon, wheels, and Lumber sat for about 5 years with little progress
Oak was so hard to cut, had to hire a lumber yard with special equipment to rough out the carriage rails
Iron work was subcontracted to a fabricator that built sub-assemblies for us to work with
Iron work was wrapped around rear of carriage as well as front
Trunnion hinge assembly designed so barrel could be removed easily
Trunnion clamp assembly wraps around the axle for strength
Fitting trunnion clamps was a challenge
Trunnion clamps completed

Wheels and axle primed and painted
Finials were added to cover the axle nut and cotter pins. They are held on with hidden magnets.

Lamb skin wet mop for wiping bore
Replica grease box - holds grease for axle and wheels
A field block was added to hold loading tools. On the block, left to right, are the lambswool scrubber, a worm, a flag, the powder measure, and the ram. The block is held down with two tent pegs so it stays up in the wind. The igniter sticks in the ground.
The worm was made by Fighting Quaker Forge, in Logan, UT. (www.FightingQuakerForge.com)
