Come celebrate the 500th Birthday of Pedro Menendez de Aviles, founder of St. Augustine

The week long event begins with the “School of the 16th Century” on February 9th,  from 10am to 5pm at the Colonial Quarter. Experience what life would have been like in 1565

On Thursday, February 14th at 7pm in the Colonial Oaks, come view the PBS Documentary “Secrets of Spanish Florida” 

Join us for a 1565 Saunter on Friday, February 15th at 5:30pm starting from the Taberna de Caballo.

Saturday, February 16th at 2:30pm, a Paseo commemorating the 500th Birthday of Pedro Menendez, will begin from the Visitors Information Center  and promenade down St. George Street to the Government House.

The week long event will culminate with “Noche de Festival”, a ticketed event at the Fountain of Youth Archeological Park starting at 6:30pm. Enjoy a cocktail hour of Tapas/Sangria accompanied by Spanish Guitar Music and Flamenco Dancing. Experience your Paella dinner being prepared ,on site by the chef of Real Paella (realpaella.com).
