In order to raise money to increase awareness of our history programs, we will be raffling off a Porch Glider. The Porch Glider is made here in St. Augustine by skilled woodworker and Garrison Member Bob Wunschel. Bob has made over 700 of these porch gliders throughout his career.

Only 200 tickets will be sold at $5 each. Winner to be announced on this page after drawing on December 19, 2016. Just in time for Christmas.  Below is a video of a similar porch glider in action on the porch of its builder.  Though it doesn’t look it, that glider is 27 years old!

Video of drawing will be up shortly!

Members of the St. Augustine Garrison provide education on St. Augustine’s colonial history from 1736-1742 and are easily recognized by their blue coat uniforms during presentations at the Castillo de San Marcos, the streets of St. Augustine, and further afield such as at Fort Frederica, Fort King George and Horton House (Georgia). In addition members have presented educational programs at Ft. Toulouse (AL) and The Alafia Rendezvous (FL).

The winner for December’s drawing is:  John Cunningham! (luck of the Irish?)
